UPCOMING PROGRAMS
September 3rd, 2009
Along with our usual "What I Did on My Summer Vacation" Show-n-Tell, the meeting will include a Get-Acquainted activity. Select a
half-yard of fabric to give away. Pin a piece of paper with your name on it to the fabric. Put the fabric with your name attached in a
brown paper lunch bag (a small bag, not the brown bags you get your groceries in!) and staple the bag shut. Each person will
choose a bag, open it up, and go find the person whose name is in the bag! The hope is that you will get to meet a guild member
you don't know and will make a new friend. (And you get a half-yard of new fabric.)
We will pass out patterns and directions for the Christmas stockings at the September meeting. For new members, this is an activity
we have been doing for the past several years. We each make at least one stocking and bring it in by the November meeting. The
guild buys items to stuff the stockings and then donates them to area food pantries and other organizations to brighten the holidays
of needy children from babies to teens.
Finally, we will have a Vendor, Cambridge Quilt Shop. www.cambridgequilts.com

Mystery Challenge Quilt 2009-2010 ??

- We will be distributing registration forms for a weekend quilting getaway at the Bayside Resort in West Yarmouth on the Cape
from Friday, March ?? , 2009 through Sunday, March ??, 2009. A fun time with lots of time for shopping and sewing.

- Yankee fabric Swap with a Mr. and Mrs. Wright story.
- Show 'n' Tell.
- This will also be the month to pass in your deposit and registration form for the retreat in March at the Bayside Resort.***
